Vets Now is part of the Vets Now emergency-care provider (a wider network treating small animals, according to its website). It focuses on urgent and out-of-hours style problems, with owners describing being seen quickly for issues like suspected poisoning, a grass seed lodged in an ear canal, and severe vomiting/diarrhoea requiring overnight care. The clinic also offers video consultations (mentioned on the website and in a review describing a video call during a consult). Reviews are mixed: many describe calm, reassuring handling in high-stress situations (including a life-threatening case on Christmas Day), while a smaller number report poor listening/not reading history and concerns about suggested treatment options.
Google rating: 4.2 stars from 286 reviews. - Speed and reassurance in urgent situations: owners describe being seen quickly and having staff who kept things calm during stressful emergencies (including a Christmas Day, “life-threatening” case).

Friendly, professional and reassuring staff, both on the phone and at the surgery. Was seen quickly and assisted with the insurance claim form before I left. Would highly recommend for emergency pet care.

My lovely, old boy Teddy was taken to the emergency vets where the Vet was extremely poor with him. She didn't read any notes and didn't listen to what his recent history was. I was in Hungary so on the video call during the consultation with my friends there with the vet. They clearly explained what the issues were...and I spoke to the vet. I explained he has a diagnosed heart problem, that his back legs had gone due to arthritis and he was clearly in alot of pain. My own vets at St Anne's already said he had muscle wastage due to arithtius and I was told not to take him for long walks etc. Just be gentle with him so this is what I did. The emergency vet asked me how much he weighed so I told her exactly but she made him wall in pain to the scales and yes...thw weight was right. She then sounded critical and said I needed to exercise him, get physio and hydro therapy! This was impossible. It was clear ge was at the end of his life. She gave him a painkiller so I could fly back from Hungary the next day. The emergency vet was an necessarily painful experience that made everything so much more stressful for my Teddy, my friends and me. Thank God for St Annes as teddy's vets as they were amazing and helped him pass away with dignity, without pain and gently. I do not recommend the emergency vets here and then pay £400 for the worst animal care I have experienced. I am angry and upset because my boy deserved better after 12 years. He had to hold on for me to come home.

Required an emergency vet appointment, after dog ate something potentially poisonous at the beach. Predictably my vet was closed and we required the emergency vet. It was super easy to contact them and we were seen immediately. Well, as soon as I could get there from the beach, so pretty quickly. In an out within an hour - v v expensive I hasten to add....*sigh*.....but the peace of mind makes up for it. Vet was super nice and reassuring. Excellent service, thank you. NB: Dog fully recovered....and will henceforth be muzzled at Eastbourne beach.

Good professional vets but very expensive. it is the only out of hours vets in the area so customers have no choice to go t9 them. Be ware of the exorbitant admin fee for insurance claims which can't be claimed under your insurance policy. VetsNow failed to tell me I could fill out the claim myself avoiding paying this extra cost.

This is the second time we have had to go to the emergency vets. On both occasions we were lucky to see the same vet. She is amazing and helped our cat Rosie. I just wish she was our full time vet. She really knows her job and is great with animals. Thank you.

We had such a positive experience last night for something that was really stressful. Our dog got a grass seed stuck in his ear canal and Sharon and Jess along with the vet took care of Paddy so well. They explained everything and helped to keep everyone calm, including all of the other customers. I have a lot of respect for the job you do! X

These amazing vets looked after my boy overnight for 2 nights this week. He's very poorly with a severe gastro bug. Vets Now were amazing. Kind, caring and patient. Explained everything to me clearly. They were so lovely to my little dog. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you. 😊

Do not recommend for large dog breeds. Didn't fully listen to my concerns, told me I had two options because the vet couldn't find heartbeat on my big dog( he walked in). Told me it was probably a heart condition and I could leave him there on a very expensive drip or have him out down. I did neither, took him to my vet the very next morning, it was hay-fever and a sore throat! Proper treatment given and he's much better now even after 1 day.
