Sussex Coast Vets has mixed feedback: some owners describe strong veterinary care during serious illness and surgery (including multi-day inpatient treatment and lump removals), while others report reliability and communication problems (unexpected branch closures due to staff shortages and phones not being answered). A “pet plan” is mentioned by a client as covering routine parasite treatments (worming and flea treatment). Specific positives in reviews include vets taking time to discuss options and help nervous pets feel at ease; specific negatives include complaints about condescending interactions and the practice feeling “more concerned about administration” than animal welfare.
Services and care mentioned in the latest available reviews include
Google rating: 4.1 stars from 198 reviews. - Several owners praise clinical care in higher-stakes situations (multi-day treatment, lump removal surgery), and value being listened to and involved in decisions.

This vet used to be reliable and I was happy with their service. I pay for pet plan which includes worming and flea treatment. I went to silverhill last week to collect it and it was closed due to staff shortage. I had not received a text notification about this. So I went to Bexhill-on-Sea which was also closed. I have tried calling both branches this morning and there is no answer. Phone just rings and rings. I will be cancelling pet plan and finding a more reliable vet. This is a shame as I was a happy customer before.

The vets are dreadful, but the rest of the staff is quite nice and efficient

They seem more concerned about their administration than they do about the welfare of animals. Terrible and condescending service. Please look elsewhere for a vet.

I recently had to take my dog and he spent 3 days and nights receiving treatment. The care he received by Steven the Vet and his team was excellent, caring and considerate. He listened to my concerns and we discussed the best action to take. I have had several Vets, but this was definitely the best care and attention my dog has received.

Thanks to Stephen and the team for the treatment that Murphy, our dog, has received over the years. He had 2 very awful lumps removed from his throat and bottom but went on for another 2 years. He had a peaceful, dignified end at home calmly administered by Stephen and Ellie. Susie Prescott
