Some owners mention positive interactions with specific staff (for example, one reviewer thanks “Magda and all the staff”), while several others describe problems they associate with recent staffing changes and the use of locum vets. Concrete complaints include long waits with no explanation, disagreements over treatment plans (including dental work), and concerns about outcomes after procedures (ear treatment and post-spay bleeding).

Absolutely rubbish. My dog is in a worse state now than when we took her for her ear to be drained and put her in more pain and ear drops. cost over £170 to be worse off.

I had been with these vets since 2020, they were wonderful and treated my cat many times. After years of treating him for his allergies, which was always a simple injection, they now have a new vet - who refused to do so, and advised a £800 procedure to remove my cats remaining 3 teeth. This opposes all the 3 previous vets treatment plan. These vets I have been told have left and not given a reason why. I now go to a vets in Bexhill, they agree with the previous vets treatment plan, and that taking his remaining teeth out will cause him too much pain and not give any quality of life for him. I'm shocked and disgusted that this vets has become one of those ripp off vets - where they have no compassion for the animal, but only want to make as much money out of loving pet owners. Thankfully I've now found another good vets. But I'd avoid this place. Unless they can get their old team back!

I had a bad experience with them.and now they say I owe them money because I cancelled them.they said my dog was fine after being examined. Turns out she had large stones in her bladder that had to be removed good job I went to another vet for 2nd opinion.

I have had 2 appointments with this vet and both were shocking. The latest this morning involved over an hour wait, with what looked like another 30 minutes on top of that. It wouldnt have been so bad if I didn't need to take time off work. I appreciate emergencies occur but I was left to wait, no explanation and no apology. The customer service was incredibly poor. I would avoid this place.

Extremely disappointed with the service at 1066 Vets. The reception staff are consistently rude and abrupt (particularly a woman called Kirsty), and there's often only one locum vet available. They fail to communicate important changes to their services, and when questioned, you're met with attitude instead of support. I've been paying £21 a month for the pet plan, yet have been waiting since May for routine flea and worming treatment. I was told my pet would need to be seen first, but the earliest available appointment wasn’t until the 28th of July. In the meantime, my cat picked up a tick, and I was told to remove it myself—even though I have no experience doing so. After my cat was spayed in May, she experienced vaginal bleeding for months. My concerns were initially dismissed by a locum vet who laughed at me. It took three different opinions before the issue was finally resolved by surgeon Ian at Sussex Coast Vets, who was excellent. Since joining 1066 Vets, I’ve watched all their permanent staff leave—many of whom have joined Mojo Vets instead. That alone speaks volumes about the poor culture and management of this practice. I have now left 1066 Vets. Pets—and their owners—deserve much better care. Sadly, I wouldn't be surprised if this clinic closes down given how far it’s declined.
