It's difficult to find vets that are knowledgable about guinea pigs. I've spent a long time in consultations having to explain what medication is best for what ailment. This practise didn't need me to explain anything, they already had the knowledge and they like guinea pigs (which helps). They couldn't help fit our GP in for her euthanasia (very last minute), but they were very kind and suggested using a local vet instead. They even sent a condolence card afterwards (which made me cry) which shows the size of their heart. Thank you so much for all your help.

Having found The Mewes Vets I would never go anywhere else. Julia and all the vets, nurses and receptionists are brilliant. We changed to The Mewes as it was recommended by a vet from a different area - best recommendation ever.

Took our cat for annual check and flea treatments. Very calm and friendly experience, relaxed atmosphere for us and our pet! Professional and informative . Highly recommend this practice.

I attended the Pet First Aid course here, both part 1 and part 2. It was very informative and incredibly interesting. Julia who ran the course was welcoming, engaging, funny and kept everyone interested. I would recommend this course to anyone who has a pet and even those who don’t!

The only vets you should ever go to !! Don't walk, run to register with them. After many visits to various vets, without proper approach or care given, someone recommended The Mewes. And what a difference ! A caring vet, genuinely interested in the dog and the problems, searching for various solutions, and involving the owner all the way. I cannot recommend The Mewes enough. This is what proper veterinary care should be like. Sadly, for the majority of vets in this country, it is not the case.

We can’t thank Mewes Vet enough for the kindness and empathy they showed during one of the hardest moments for our family. They came to our home to help our beloved cat pass peacefully, and handled everything with such gentleness, care, and respect. What also truly stood out was they didn’t rush to send an invoice. In fact, they waited until we reached out ourselves, giving us the space to grieve without any pressure. In a world where so much feels transactional, this simple act of compassion meant the world. It’s incredibly rare , and it shows just how deeply they understand what their work really means. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

Highly recommend mews vets peacehaven, I have one very anxious dog and they accommodate his needs to the highest standards to make sure he gets what he needs when he visits and ensure everyone is safe as he does have fear aggression. Then I have a very friendly shepherd who gets the 5 star treatment with lots of love and cuddles from all the staff. The vet Julia is fantastic with both my dogs and so informative and knowledgeable. She gives my very nervous dog lots of time and adapts to his needs so that he can get the relevant health checks he needs and with my very over friendly shepherd she gave lots of attention to her and full health checks and vaccines given with lots of kindness and love. I have dealt with lots of vet practices over my years of owners dogs and by far I feel the most comfortable and safe knowing they care. All the staff there are just fantastic ⭐️
